Colding Dominates in Q Auto and Injury Sprints Main

Saturday night, Mother Nature smiled on the racers and fans at the Clay by the Bay after last week’s rainout. The Q Auto and Injury Sprints were in action as Dylan Colding took the win in the 15-lap feature race in dominating fashion.  Colding started on the pole and never looked back, driving away from the nearest competitor by ¾ of a lap.  Joe Zuczek had a good car,but was no match for Colding.  Zuczek finished 2nd.  Bryan Eckley, Kurt Taylor and David Slawiak rounded out the top 5.

In the Street Stocks, Zach Amundsen went to Victory Lane.  Amundsen started 5th and drove through the field.  As the laps ran down, he made the pass to take the lead and ultimately the checkered flag.  Jim Baker finished 2nd.  David Barwick II led early, coming home with 3rd place finish.  Rich Livernois Sr. and John Bradley completed the top-5. Livernois Jr and John Bradley won the heat races.

The Late Model Sportsmans were up next with Andrew Hopkins taking the win after a stellar performance. He held off the challenge of Noah Cornman, who came across the line in 2nd  but was DQed after race for a tire issue.  Forrest Gough battled hard all night and finished 3rd.  Daniel Woody and Wesley Livernois rounded out the top 5.  Hopkins was the heat winner

In the Micro Sprints, Mike Meyers led start to finish to take the win.  He fought off the hard charging Kevin Strife early on.  Strife would drive to a second-place finish.  Chris Livernois, Jr finished third.  Matt Wedgewood and Steve Diamond rounded out the top-5.  In the heats, Strife and Livernois Jr. took the wins.

The Gladiators rounded out the evening in exciting fashion. Daniel Bowman and Daniel Casey battled most of the race with Casey leading the way.  Late in the race, Bowman passed Casey in turn 4 and was able to hold off the hard charging Casey for the win. Casey finished 2nd.  Robert Kissam ran third all night and finshed third.  Kever Raulerson and polesitter Bailey Purcell rounded out the top-5.  Jeff Smith and Bowman won the heats.
